TIRES

I have owned this vehicle close to three years and these were the all season tires that came with the car.I live in New England where I run snow tires on the car from October to April every year that I have owned the car. The car has 30K miles on it ,but the tires that came with the car only have about 10K or 7/8 tire tread left. The tires have become very noisy and are starting to cup. I did take the car to the dealer and had the front end checked out and nothing is worn or out of alignment. Tires were rotated at 5K intervals .I contacted Dunlop and was told there was not much they would do since the tires were made when Dunlop was owned by Goodyear. Dunlop is now owned by Falken. I was offers 30% off a new set of tires (Dunlop) as a good will gesture. A new set of tires will run about 1K with tax and mounting/balance. I should have to spend that kind of money on tires that are not worn, just poorly made. Falken admitted that they have a lot of complaints about this tire. Tire size is 225/60R18/ 2023 Toyota RAV4 XSE

2024 Toyota RAV4 Warren, MI

TIRES

Tire size 225/65R17 On [XXX] the front tire on the passenger side blew out on [XXX] just west of the exit to [XXX] as I was driving from Warren MI to Horseheads NY. I was able to safely steer off the highway to the shoulder. A man stopped to help, he put the donut on the car and put the blown out tire in the cargo space. I have the tire in my garage. I drove off the highway a few miles to the exit for Hornell NY and called Williams Toyota in Elmira NY, they had a replacement tire in stock but couldn’t fit me into their service schedule until July 15, 2025. I had to extend my stay in Horseheads by 2 nights so in addition to the cost of mounting and balancing the new tire I had to pay for 2 extra nights at the hotel where I was staying. I bought my RAV4 from Golling Toyota in Warren MI in February of 2024, it had 9843 miles on it, the tire was original equipment, and I have had the tires rotated as required by the maintenance schedule. TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS

I am customer at Mavis Salem, NH and purchased a Cooper Tire Starfire Solarus AS 225/65r17 tire on [XXX]. Undetected at the time of purchase due to lack of inspection by service manager Scott who sold me the tire. Once I drove on the highway I start to experience the vehicle wobbling due to consistent low tire pressure, I found distortion in the tread area and separation of tire tread depth that does not the standards. Mavis would not inspect the tire when i discussed the concerns and denied refunding the purchase because the specific size was not listed on the Cooper Tire recall sheet. I di explain that the tire is part of the series of defective tire: Starfire Solarus AS. I even asked Mavis manager to call Cooper Tire to explain what I as the customer was experiencing. 2011 Toyota RAV4 Houston, TX

TIRES

235/55R 18 I took my car for a tire rotation at a tire shop. I was told that the right front tire was not good so I asked to be replace with another new tire I had, which was exactly the same Yokohama tire my car had on. When I drove off the shop the tire started making a weird loud noise so I drove back to the shop. They switch the tire to the rear and there I noticed that was a different tire, not the new tire I have provided them. I asked the guys where my tire was and why they had switched it with an old-use worn tire. They denied doing so and refused to give me back my tire. Besides putting a used-worn out tire, the tire also has a different speed rate than the rest of my tires. Since it is raining in Houston and having different speed tires is itself dangerous, I found this improper and in disregard of putting my safety in danger. My tire was a Yokohama Brand; The shop switched it to a worn-used Dimax brand with a different speed.

2017 Toyota RAV4 Middle River, MD

TIRES:SIDEWALL

225/65R17. I purchased 4 new tires on 02/24/23. On 6/27/23, I found my driver's rear tire was completely flat. I had the 'donut' put on and took to the dealers. There was a 'bubble' around the rim and the tire was replaced. The dealer explained it was likely due to hitting a curb or pothole which I took exception to as I had done neither. On 7/31/23, my passenger-side rear tire was almost flat and there was again a bubble near the rim. As well the front passenger tire looked mis-shapen. This time, I called a tow truck. The dealer refused to acknowledged that was a manufacturing issue and not a road hazard. Although many Continental tires were recalled, they said this wasn't one of them. They did not contact Continental only their service provider for road hazard. Replacing only the passenger rear tire was not a reasonable option. I chose to replace all 4 tires of another brand rather than fool around with what could be an exploding tire on the highway. Needless to say, no more continental tires for me and I will not use that Toyota dealership again either.
