I bought the car brand new in December 2024. About 3 months later I had to get the struts replaced and had multiple problems that Honda deems as “fine”. The AC cooling is terrible and worse that my 2009 Dodge and 2015 Accord. The steering wheel has a springy rattling noise, and the phone won’t connect to the car at random times. They replaced the struts after returning twice. One year later in March my SRS warning light came on and the dealership fixed it a total of 3 different times, each time not taking care of the problems. They also broke and scratched pieces of my car, failed to put my oil cap back on, and left my car in poor condition when returning it back to me. So far, the SRS system warning hasn’t came back on but still worried because I have kids and don’t want to get into a wreck and something fail.

Summary of Safety Issue:A franchise dealership delivered an unroadworthy vehicle with a falsified safety inspection checklist, missing critical structural hardware on all four wheels.Description of Incident:On XXX I took delivery of a Certified Pre-Owned 2023 Honda Pilot TrailSport from Scott Clark Honda. I drove the vehicle two hours away on the highway to my residence in [XXX]. Upon a detailed inspection at home, I discovered that the vehicle was missing four (4) lug nuts—specifically, one critical lug nut was completely missing from every single wheel hub assembly.A subsequent audit of my high-resolution delivery photos confirms the hardware was already missing while the vehicle sat in the dealership's delivery bay. The franchise service department falsified the mandatory Honda CPO safety checklist, which legally requires verifying that all wheel hardware is torque-tested and structurally present. Driving a heavy family utility vehicle on public highways with un-torqued and missing lug nuts created a life-threatening wheel-separation hazard. The dealership has since failed to execute an immediate or emergency resolution to render the chassis safe. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I have owned the car for not even a full year yet. It has 19,000 miles and I have already had to repair 2 bent rims. I have NEVER had this issue with any other vehicle I have driven nor does any other vehicle in my household have this issue. I just find it weird that I've had to spend $1000 in less than a year.

On 1/18 I was dropping my daughter off at Chicopee High School when I took left to front street I heard a snap and the car took me to the right direction causing my rim to be damaged. The Tired Rob broke. I called Roadside they tow the car to Curry Honda in Chicopee mass. Today when I called Cury Honda one of the managers insisted that I hit a poth hole without me explaining and saying this never happened when online there’s been customers complaining with the same situation 2023 -2025 with Honda pilots experience the same issue. It’s a safety matter where it could been worse me in the car with 4 of my children,

The steering became extremely loose over time on my Honda Pilot posing significant safety concerns because of it. The tires adamantly follow all the divets, lines, grooves, and bumps in the road causing me to lose control of the vehicle very easily in poor driving conditions. This is especially exaggerated during inclement weather such as snow or rain. Recently, due to the steering looseness, I lost control of the vehicle and hit a mailbox damaging the entire right side of the vehicle. Please help to work with Honda to resolve this issue. Thank you!

I have had numerous issues with the car stalling while in idle- it will shut off but still display all the warning lights on the dash. It would require the car engine to be restarted. Has happened at stop signs, stop lights, carpool lights. This has happened at least 10 times over 3.5 years. Last week I had a similar issue but this time it was much scarier- it did that same shut off but completely shut off the engine. All systems were black and the start button did not trigger a response for at least a minute. Once it finally restarted it displayed a “lost power” message on the screen. More similar issues to report.

Lamont sold me a lemon vehicle. Lamont managed to get a false inspection form and provided it to me and stated the vehicle has passed inspection. Once vehicle was taken to multiple mechanic shops to find out if its even able to be fixed and as 3 mechanics stated I was sold a lemon car and they are "Unable to fix" the problem. Lamont was contacted on multiple times through calls/text msgs, and voice mails and as of today none of my calls were answered. Lamont then blocked my number and continued to avoid me and the car situation he put me through. I've been trying to reach him every day since the last time he gave me the vehicles documents. I am filing this report to the best of my knowledge with the information he gave me for the vehicle. I would love to get a refund back of all my money spent for this vehicle that was sold to me as a lemon.

Dealer sold me a lemon car with broken and rotten parts on the car. Dealer never stated the car was messed up or needed the major work it needs now. Dealer at one point took the car to go get inspected at a shop located on 705 Jefferson Ave , "and hour later he came back with the car and parked it. Couple days later dealer called me to go get the inspector form form the inspector " Gilbert/Tony". While viewing the paper correctly, the car was never inspected properly. Once I was able to take the car to a shop to do my own inspection they stated to me that I was sold a lemon car and it would be almost thousands to fix the car "more then i had purchase the car. I called the dealer back multiple times and sent msgs to the dealer regarding the vehicle dealer then blocked my number and the mechanics phone I used to call him after he blocked my number. As of now I am trying to figure out a way to get this car fix and filing a complaint report against this dealer to at lease get justices from this dealer and for him to get his business SHUT DOWN due to selling people as in myself broken lemon cars.

I have reported the issue once before. Took it back to dealer for service. Serviced by Rock Honda on May 28, 2024. They swore issue was resolved and I had to pay out of pocket. Same problem. Loss of All Wheel Drive function, car nearly stalls out while at highway speeds and on surface streets (loss of power and bucks hard). Warning message appears for AWD system advising no power. I am convinced that I got a lemon. This car is absolute trash. Daily occurrence with this problem.

My vehicle started making unusual noise when moving, noise appears like something is wrong with the tires, it sounds like there is a bubble in tire but there is none and this noise is audible inside while driving. We first noticed it when we took a trip to Kansas city few weeks ago and at that time my vehicle odometer was about 31600 miles only, Also to add to that when brakes are applied vehicle is not slowing down consistently, it will be like breaks are applied and release and applied and released. We believe that there is manufacturing defects with the parts as we have not abused our vehicle in any way and if we are right similar issues should surface with others vehicles as well.

On May 4, 2024, normal driving conditions, experienced what felt like a loss of power. Warning on dashboard says All Wheel Drive System Problem, Only Front Wheels May Be Powered. See Dealer. Pulled car over to side of road and turned engine off. Turned back on and warning was gone. Occurred again today May 25, 2024 while driving on freeway. Loss of power and same warning message displayed. I do not feel at all safe in this vehicle. I drove straight to dealership for service to look at it. Hopefully have some answers after the holiday weekend. Just purchased vehicle in August 2023 brand new. Honda Pilot Elite. Starting to think I got a lemon.

honda pilot EXL 2020 with 39,000 miles- purchased new in may 2020. We just had our pilot oil change and multi-point inspection along with safety recall most faker replaced. With less than 40K miles we are getting told the Front control Arm needs to be replaced. The bushing on the right front lower control arm is torn-cracking, CAUSING our tires to be worn and ALSO needing to REPLACE ALL FOUR of them! I'm not sure how a four year old car, just out of 3 year warranty by a year, is needing all this excessive amount of work. Just this last year EVERYTHING with the suspension and tires were completely normal and healthy! Within that year only putting 10k miles on it, never been off roading or drive crazy- we both have a great driving record. So, all of this is absolutely sudden and worried for our safety. The car has NEVER notified us of low tire pressure at anytime, ever. Having the Honda service center telling us the tires have "adnormal wear pattern of tires" (all of which is, inner wear). Not allowing us to get the normal tire rotation due to that and the tread depth measure was unevenly worn. Just a reminder, not one of the sensors have NEVER alerted us- other than due for oil change. We went in thinking oil change and most safety recall repair would be it. Then being told 4 tires $1,000 and front control arm replacement $561 (not including service charge) is NEEDED! Bridgestone tires P245/60/R18, is the brand we currently have and need to replace immediately. I have all receipts from previous oil changes (Honda dealership in Charleston sc- where we bought the car from) and multi-point inspections, seeing as this is sudden and very dangerous to not only us but to the cars around. Exact wording from our Honda service report- Not fixing this issue front control arm will be unable to stabilize the suspensions fore and aft movements. Not including the tires blowing out while driving.

When driving on gravel the gravel will get stuck in the rear and front brake guards. This is making the rotors get scratched and damaged, also causes a very high screeching sound. This happens every time while driving on gravel or going over gravel. I am concerned about the brakes becoming unsafe and the braking system becoming damaged. This problem has not been inspected and no warning lights come on during the problem.

Travelling on interstate w/ cruise speed set @ 70 mph. VSA (vehicle stability assist) engaged with a brief grinding noise & pulled to the right. Very startling event. VSA activation indicator triangle light came on, as well as, the VSA system indicator light. Have experienced the event a dozen or so times on both the interstate and roads with a speed limit of 35/40 mph, without use of the cruise control. We are original owners of the vehicle and it has been diligently worked on throughout & currently has 230,000 miles on it. Awaiting delivery of a new vehicle, but intend for my newly licensed son to drive the vehicle. Took it to my repair shop, but they couldn't replicate the issue. Replaced both front speed sensors, but the issue occurred on the interstate drive home immediately after. Hope to be able to drop the vehicle off for an extended period once I take delivery on my new vehicle. Worried the issue will occur in rain or snow & be even more dangerous. Repair shop ran diagnostic showing the yaw issue, but said the Honda generated code report only went up to 25 mph. Has always pulled to the right during activation and the grinding noise is very evident & startling. Kinda feels like maybe the ABS anti-braking system engages on 1 tire for a brief few seconds in my non auto mechanic analysis.

FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS MY PILOT FELT LIKE IT WAS BOUNCING ODD. WE'VE ONLY OWNED IT FOR 5 MONTHS AND HAVE UNDER 5,000 MILES. WHILE MONITORING THE TIRE PRESSURE FOR TWO WEEKS, I'VE NOTICED THAT BOTH DRIVER SIDE FRONT AND REAR TIRES HAVE BEEN CONSIDERABLY LOW AND WE HAVEN'T ADDED ANY AIR SINCE. I FIGURED IT WAS BECAUSE OF HEAT/TIME OF DAY. MY LAST DRIVE AT 80 DEGREES AT SUNSET ENDED WITH BOTH DRIVER SIDE TIRES AT 33 PSI AND BOTH PASSENGER SIDE TIRES AROUND 35-37 PSI. THIS MORNING BOTH DRIVER SIDE TIRES WERE AT 33 PSI ON A COLD START AT ABOUT 60 DEGREES, ONCE I GOT ONTO THE SAME HIGHWAY AND LANES I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ON FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS, I NOTICED THE MAN BEHIND ME WAVING HIS ARMS WILDLY. I CHECKED MY TIRE PRESSURE ON THE DASH AND NOTICED THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WAS SUDDENLY AT 24PSI, 20, 17, 10 AND I PULLED OVER TO CHANGE THE TIRE. WHEN I WENT TO INSPECT PRIOR TO REMOVING THE TIRE, YOU COULD AUDIBLY HEAR AIR SEEPING OUT. ON VISUAL INSPECTION THERE IS NO NAIL, NO PUNCTURE WOUND OR ANY EVIDENCE OF A CHANCE THAT A PUNCTURE HAPPENED AND THE OBJECT SHEERED OR CAME OUT ENTIRELY. THERE IS NO SIDEWALL DAMAGE, NO RIM DAMAGE OF ANY KIND. THE TIRE ITSELF IS A BRIDGESTONE DEULER H/P SPORT AS. THERE WAS NO DEBRIS IN THE ROAD
