2025 Nissan Rogue Clinton Township, MI

TIRES

I rented this vehicle from Hertz Rental Car in December. It was a replacement for the Nissan Sentra I rented that had a passenger door that kept getting stuck due to the door panel being loose. On December 23, 2025, I called roadside and told them that the tire light was on,n and I had to put air in the car to fix a flat and get home. I was told by the roadside that because I didn't purchase roadside through them, I would be charged. I explained to the man that all four tires were bald. He told me it couldn't be authorized. I ended up using my aAAAtwice. I was told by them and the emergency mobile tire repair people that the tires were no good. I had to drive on those tires through the rain and snow with my children. I couldn've hydroplaned or hit someone. They did put an inspection hold on the vehicle, but nobody checked; they just asked me if I got it fixed and continued to rent it out to me. I spoke with the manager of the location who previously told me that I may be charged for the tire because I didn't have roadside assistance and he said he charged the madison heights location for it. So that's proof I was not at fault and paid over a thousand dollars for a vehicle that was not safe for the road.

2023 Nissan Rogue Clearfield, UT

TIRES:SIDEWALL

The tire right side behind the passenger sit just blow off when I was driving in the exit 232, I 15 with direction to South, Antelope DR. When that happened without any sign that the tire showed any issue at all, I was afraid that could happen when I drive in a highway by 75 miles by hour. For that reason, I replace the four tires.

2024 Nissan Rogue Houston, TX

TIRES

I was sold dry rotted tires (235/60/R18/103H), on Sunday, March 23, 2025. I noticed hazardous condition while driving on Freeway under the speed limit where tires were making very loud grinding/riveting sound and I couldn't drive a normal freeway speed, on March 25, 2025. The front driver tire was sold to me damaged where it doesn't properly hold the required air to operate my vehicle safely at 16 psi. I proceeded to get tires inspected at Walmart where I was alerted that it wasn't safe to drive the vehicle due to the conditions of the tires. I contacted business and asked to speak with manager at the location wo didn't offer any solution to rectify this selling of dry rotted hazardous tires. I was simply told to provide a copy of inspection report and my receipt with no resolution to this date where my vehicle hasn't been moved due to the hazardous condition of the tires that affect my safety.; and is a deceptive business practice.

2023 Nissan Rogue Milford, CT

TIRES

On [XXX], I bought a 2023 Nissan Rogue Platinum from Car Max, East Haven, CT with 15,500 miles on it, original tires. We noticed the Dunlap GrandTrek PT20 235/55R19 101V treads were warn for only 15,500 miles. Took the car on [XXX] to Town Fair Tire, Milford, CT to measure treads and they agreed that they were too warn for 15,500 miles. Their report showed remaining tread life FL-1, FR-1, RL-1, RR-1 and suggested I had one month left. I then took it to Paul Miller Nissan, Black Rock, CT [XXX] where their report showed "May require future attention" LF 5, RF 5, LR 4, RR 4 and said I WILL need tires before winter. Contacted Good Year claim number [XXX] and had the tires inspected by Jordan of Modern Tires, Shelton, CT who contacted Good Year after inspection. He got a response of tires not covered, too bad for you from Good Year. I'm [XXX] now because how can a 1 year old car with 15,500 miles need new tires? 2022 Nissan Rogue Rincon, GA

TIRES

235/60R18 tire size I bought a new 2022 Rogue March 2022 which only now has 14,000 miles.During regular maintenance on 1/13/24 , I was told I needed new tires because of tread wear.Nissan said they do not give tire warranty and Hankook would be responsible. After looking at BBB reports, there are quite a few others with similar or same issues. Blow outs, knots or baldness on tires. If these tires don’t last even 2 years or past 14,000 miles,I consider them defective in some way and certainly a safety issue. If Nissan has complaints and still continues to use this tire they are to blame as well.

TIRES

DUNLOP GRANDTREK PT21 235/60/R18 TIRES WERE TAKEN OFF WITH 3MM OF TREAD LEFT AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE HAD 5K MILES ON IT, TIRES WERE ON FROM FACTORY. THE TIRES WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO FISHTAIL AND OR HYDROPLANE, A FEW TIMES WE ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, THANK GOD WE HAD AND ANGEL WATCHING OVER US, AND WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL. WE PUT A WARRANTY CLAIM INTO DUNLOP FOR THE TIRES, THEY DENIED IT!!! MEANWHILE, I ORDERED A SET OF WINTER TIRES TO REPLACE THESE BALD TIRES, AS NEW YORK STATE WINTER SETS IN, I NEEDED TO BE SAFE! I HAVE A FRIEND THAT BOUGHT HER VEHICLE 3 DAYS AFTER ME AND HER TIRES ARE THE SAME WAY! TO THE POINT WHERE SHE TRADED! THE PROBLEM WAS IDENTIFIED AT A DEALERSHIP WHEN THE WINTER TIRES WERE PUT ON. THE COMPANY OF THE TIRES DIDNT ASK FOR PICTURES OR ANYTHING JUST DENIED THE CLAIM SAYING IT MUST BE A SUSPENSION ISSUE BUT PRIOR TO FINDING THE TIRES BEING BALD IT WAS AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE THEY FOUND EVERYTHING AS IT SHOULD BE, EXCEPT THE TIRES WERE LOW ON TREAD.

2013 Nissan Rogue Lutz, FL

TIRES

I was driving on the interstate at right around 50-60mph, the day was sunny. I was in the middle lane on I275 and there was normal flow of traffic. I saw no debris. Then all of the sudden it sounded like an explosion and my car jolted. I knew something was very wrong and kept control of car. When the tire service man came he noted it the sidewall had blown out. The tread was good and no other areas affected. Other tires from this time were recalled just not the 16 size. I am concerned this tire is also affected with sidewall defects.

Tires---Kumho Solus KL 21 225/65R17 Bought 2 on 1/11/21--mileage on vehicle at time was 46798 Bought 2 on 4/12/21--mileage on vehicle at time was 51487 In January 2023 the vehicle began having noticeable vibration and "road" noise. Took it to the business where tires were purchased and had them rotate the tires. Over the course of 2 weeks the vibration and "road" noise became more prominent. I then took it to another business and asked them to take a close look at the tires and check balance on each. They found 2 that had large bulges in the tread area and 2 that had smaller bulges in the tread. I have turned the tires in to business where they were purchased to be returned to manufacturer for inpection.

2014 Nissan Rogue Troy, MI

TIRES

I BOUGHT MICHELIN TIRES (PREMIER LTX- 225/65 R17 102H SL BSW GM) WITH WARRANTY OF 60K MILES. I DROVE 25K MILES AND IT IS WORE OUT. I BOUGHT THE MOST EXPENSIVE TIRES AS IT IS MY FAMILY CAR. I COMPLAINED TO MICHELIN AND THEY DON'T THINK IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT IS PRORATED WARRANTY IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE. THEY COULDN'T ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT IF I TRUST THAT THE TIRES WILL RUN AROUND 60K AND THEY NEED CHANGE AT AROUND 25 IS CONSIDERED A PRODUCT FAILURE OR NOT, THEY MENTIONED THAT THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND I HAVE TO CHANGE THE 4 TIRES. I WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS IT AS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE TIRES ARE NOT SAFE AS ADVERTISED. MY COMPLAINT NUMBER AT MICHELIN IS [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS

THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN TIRES ARE AT THE RIGHT PRESSURE LEVELS. FIRESTONE IN CHARLOTTE TESTED THE TPMS AND ISOLATED THAT THE DEVICE IS NOT READING/COMMUNICATING WITH THE CENTRAL ELECTRONICS PORTAL THAT IDENTIFIES ANY TIRE ISSUES. THIS HAS BEEN ON-GOING FOR A FEW YEARS, IT WAS SPORADIC TO BEGIN WITH BUT IS NOW A CONSTANT ISSUE AS SHOWING LOW TIRE PRESSURE.
