My vehicle was brought to my dealership for service on December 13, 2024, and again on January 13, 2026, due to a recurring Uconnect software/application failure. The system repeatedly displayed the message: “Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer.” Over time this message continuously reappears while driving even after acknowledging the message earlier. This message would overlay critical driving information such as navigation, engine status, and trailer towing data. This message forces the driver to divert my attention from the road to locate and press “OK” on the screen, creating an ongoing and unacceptable safety hazard. Reported issue regarding recall for at least 2 years NHTSA #1850535. When we contacted McHugh Dodge in Zanesville, Ohio and they had no idea when issue will be fixed with ABS system nor when parts are scheduled to come in. I was told they should have something to repair by end of July, 2026 by NHTSA agent.

My 2018 dodge ram has an open recall since December 2024. There are no parts/no fix. My truck has been dinging and pinging with the break light/traction light/engine light/ABS light since 6 months after I got it. ALL of these things are related to the open recall. VIN [XXX]. Manufacturer Recall Number C4B, NHTSA Recall Number24V-896. "The loss of ABS/ESC/Traction control may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning." On Sunday the 19th it stalled along with the warning lights. I took my truck to the dealer and paid $198 in Feb 2023 and they told me nothing was wrong with it. This issues would happen every so often now it's happening frequently almost daily. Customer care refuses to help. They told me to take my truck to a dealer to get it diagnosed and then send the paperwork to them and maybe they'd cover the rental until the part comes in. So now I am paying another $255 for Another diagnostics. It's sitting at Dodge in Glendora, CA right now for 2 days waiting for a call back. I was also told if it's approved, I have to pay for the rental out of pocket. For an eternity? I am not sure why I am jumping through hoops for a safety recall. It' the only car I have to commute and drive my kids in. Once again, a safety recall. This is really absurd. I begged for a manager or someone higher to call me and Ram care refused. Said they'd send my case to rentals. What if my breaks go out, what if I get in a car accident. It feels really unreasonable they won't take responsibility for this ongoing open recall that is a safety issue. On July 9,2026 I requested information on this truck from the dealership. It was advertised as having 55k miles on it and they were asking for $39. The carfax shows service history at 167k miles. When I confronted the salesman via text, he lowered the price to 32k. I believe this to be odometer fraud since I also asked him to verify if the mileage advertised was correct.

Failing ABS hydraulic control module is causing a dash warning lamp accompanied with an alarm noise and check abs system displayed. This has been going on since I purchased the truck in July 2025. In the beginning the light/alarm/message was not happening too often. Now it is so often that I can barely stand to drive it anywhere. Last week I drove to the store and back home which is about 15 miles. I counted over 100 events in that span. I understand there is a current safety recall that was issued back in November 2024. In the details of this recall they say the issue could cause collision. If so, why is this taking so long to be resolved? I have contacted the dealer several times and they are well aware of the issue but say there is not a remedy yet. However, they offered to replace the HCU with the same one but I pay for it and I will likely end up with the same problem down the road. That just seems absurd to me.

Vehicle experiences repeated intermittent engine shutdown while decelerating to a stop (approximately 3-4 mph). condition has occurred 10+ times since purchase ( Feb.2026). Vehicle currently has 5000 miles.Vehicle has been and is currently for the 3rd time at dealership for this safety issue. Dealer has involved STAR engineering. Issue has not been duplicated by shop tech but was captured on video by owner and given to dealership. This creates a safety concern due to unexpected loss of propulsion in traffic conditions

This recall for ABS control module went out just after my warranty expired. My truck is a 2017 with just over 60,000 miles and I am scared to haul trailer as the brakes lock up with sudden stops. Also cruise control and traction control won't work and truck constantly dings all the time to remind me I bought a broken truck that RAM don't fell like they have to fix such a hazardous safety issue

On April 20, 2026, at approximately 3:30 PM, a 2025 Ram ProMaster operated as part of a commercial delivery fleet experienced a sudden vehicle fire while driving on a rural road near [XXX] [XXX] ). According to the driver, the vehicle drove over a small amount of corn husk debris on a low-maintenance gravel road, which is a normal and expected driving condition in this area. Immediately after, the vehicle became immobilized, and smoke and fire rapidly developed inside the vehicle and spread to the surrounding field. The driver exited the vehicle quickly and sustained second-degree burns and loss of facial hair. Emergency services responded, and approximately ten fire units were required to contain the fire. The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The vehicle was a total loss. Notably, more than 24 hours after the initial incident, the vehicle reignited while being handled by a tow company. This incident does not appear consistent with normal operating risk. Driving over agricultural debris such as corn husks is a routine condition in rural Nebraska and should not result in catastrophic vehicle failure or fire. Additionally, another fleet operator in the same geographic market reported a nearly identical incident involving a 2025 Ram ProMaster less than one month prior. In that case, the vehicle also caught fire while being driven under normal rural road conditions. There is currently a known recall affecting 2025 Ram ProMaster vehicles. Given the similarity of incidents, severity of outcome, and potential pattern, this may indicate a broader safety defect. This event resulted in driver injury, complete vehicle loss, and damage to surrounding agricultural property. Immediate investigation into potential fire risk and defect in 2025 Ram ProMaster vehicles is strongly requested. My truck was started in the morning and as it sat idle in the driveway I started attaching my trailer. By the time I got the trailer attached(20 seconds) there was smoke pouring out from under the hood. I immediately turned off the truck popped the hood and it was engulfed in flames. I was able to put out the fire with the garden hose. No check engine lights, no warning lights on dash, and I had just got it back from the dealership 2 days earlier and it passed a safety inspection before I picked it up. Im not sure what component failed but whatever did caused a fire

Vehicle caught fire while engine was running, vehicle idling. Vehicle is a total loss. Prior NHTSA complaints regarding these vehicles causing fire from electrical components under the hood. Unknown if fire was due to electrical or leaking fuel issues under the hood. Major safety risk to occupants, especially children in car seats. Fire became out of control and burned the interior of the vehicle to bare metal. There were no injuries in this incident. This report being submitted by Law Enforcement on owners behalf. This CHEAP fix is abhorrent! It calls for welding an adjustable part of the steering linkage rendering it non- adjustable when having the front end aligned in the future. Not to mention the effect of welding, potentially causing a problem with the integrity of the metal. The correct fix for this SAFETY issue is to REPLACE this steering linkage component, the entire Drag Link! NOT do a "back yard, shade tree mechanic" weld job on the steering linkage of all things! I am appalled that NHTSA approved such a thing. PLEASE revisit this issue and do the right thing. Require Chrysler (FCA US LLC) to REPLACE this defective part with the proper part. Note.... Chrysler is not welding the nuts on the drag links on trucks coming off the assembly line! They are coming off with proper, safe, adjustable drag links! I contacted FCA and they said they cannot redo the recall because it's out of the window to get it repaired again. This is not a safe fix. The recall says after this welding, the vehicle can still get a proper alignment from dealer, which is not true. I contacted the dealer and they said I should contact FCA, but that sent me back to my original issue. I can't get an alignment even though the recall fix says I can. I dealer refuses to do it. I bought this truck used from the dealer and they wouldn't fix it at the time either. I pull a fifth wheel trailer with my truck and I need an alignment. This recall weld fix is just not right, a cheap fix for a long-term problem and very unsafe. Please help and please point me in the right direction. Thank you

My brand new truck started shaking while accelerating past 65mph. The shaking was not dampened by the suspension at all. (I.e. it kept the same or increased strength). The shaking could cause damage, excessive loosening or wear of critical components and lead to a serious accident at these speeds. It is similar to the "death wobble", but not as violent. It occurred multiple times. The shaking occurred without going over large bumps. I took it to a dealership and they did a load balance and alignment without resolving the problem. They noted a wheel was warped and moved it from the front to the back. This did not solve the problem. It seemed to prevent the shaking if I just tap the gas and wait a few seconds instead of holding it. The transition in and out of eco mode (4 to 8 cylinders) should be looked into.

Manufacturer is claiming to have "No Remedy" for this recall (C4B). However, they were able to replace the defective part, charged me for the repair and offered a reimbursement. However, they are not offering to reimburse the full cost of the repair. It has come to my knowledge that Ram does have a remedy, as they have reengineered the HCU part affected by this recall and issued a new part number for the updated parts. Original part was 68143491AA and has since been updated to 68143491AB after this recall was issued. It appears that Ram is lying to consumers about having "No Remedy" when they do in fact have one. I am assuming they do not want fix these vehicles unless the original part fails as a cost savings on this recall. The issue is they are refusing to cover the entire cost of the recall repair when the vehicle did need to be fixed. I was charged $1185.56 for this repair in February of 2026 and Ram is only offering $1141.85 as the reimbursement amount. This recall should have been covered at zero charge and without requiring me to pay upfront for the repair, as it is evident by updated part numbers that Ram does in fact have a remedy.

Got into my truck after letting it warm up and the shifter broke out of the handle. It’s a known problem cause the design is flawed by putting so much pressure on the part. So in the end it breaks and then you can’t get your vehicle out of park or whatever gear it broke in. I was charged 718.00 for it to get fixed when I think this should be a recall or tsb.
