2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Shepherdstown, WV

EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL

I purchased my new 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck on 12/04/2025 from CMA Chevrolet in [XXX] . When the truck was delivered, there was no owner's manual with the truck. I recently found that there was a recall associated with this issue. It is XXX. I thought that maybe manuals were now online. When I read the recall, it said that it is federal law that one be issued with each new vehicle. My VIN is not part of the recall. I contacted my salesman and he said that their parts department said that sometimes the manufacturer, GM, puts out VINs in blocks. This does not make sense. How does a manufacturer know something that they did not do?? I would like my VIN added to the list of vehicles that are affected by this recall. Thank you INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 at 100,000 miles Woodville, WI Fire

EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:ENGINE BLOCK HEATER

The contact owned a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact stated that after plugging in the block heater around 5:15 P.M. while the vehicle was parked unattended in the tool shed, he was notified around 9:45 P.M. that the tool shed and vehicle had caught fire. There were no issues with the vehicle before the failure. There were no reported injuries, airbag deployment, or police report filed. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and they opened a claim. The insurance company's fire specialist determined that the block heater was faulty and would reach out to the legal team. The vehicle and tool shed were deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The vehicle was still at the contact's residence. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Prescott VLY, AZ

TRAILER HITCHES

A trailer hitch has an sticker stating the Tow Vehicle Maximum Trailer rating for the hitch. Owner's manual and towing safety stickers on the driver's side door only state the maximum dead weight for a hitch...that is the weight applied if a trailer is attached to the tow vehicle's hitch ball. This sticker give you maximum if a trailer is installed with a weight distribution hitch assembly. On my 2025 Silverado, as well on four other Silverados I viewed at a dealer, and a few GMC Sierras, also viewed at dealers, the sticker is applied; however, impossible to read the specifications supplied by the sticker. I have uploaded two files: One, is the sticker as viewed on a 2016 GMC that is attached to the bottom of the hitch, easy to read and obtain the SAFETY information contained. Second photo is how the sticker is attached to my 2025 Silverado (and as noted on all other vehicles I viewed at dealerships) and as you can see, the specifications are not readable. I even tried a mirror and not enough room for the mirror to fit and allow viewing of the stats. The information on this sticker is required to SAFELY pull a trailer with a weight distribution style hitch assembly. And to require a sticker, but not make as requirement it needs to be legible is ludicrous. Thanks

2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Saint Cloud, FL

EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.

Radio cuts out, no sound. Can't even use hands free calling because the sound doesn't work. Driver will try to get sound back while driving, taking eyes of the road to fiddle with radio. No recalls at the moment for this issue. Several blogs online that people are experiencing this issue. Has not been inspected as the issue is intermediate, cannot reproduce at a certain time. Could happen once a week or several days in a week, random. There were no warnings before the radio cuts out. 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Garden City, MI

EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.

There was an electrical burning smell in the cabin of the truck and then the radio stopped working. I called the dealership who confirmed that they had issues with previous models and newer models as well but said my 2017 silverado lt was not included in the fix. I took it in and asked them to see if there were any error codes and I was told no error codes everything was clear. There were no warnings no lights nothing just the burning smell. I spoke with another gentleman who has a 2018 silverado lt and said his radio goes on and off and the screen is unresponsive. Yes the vehicle is available upon inspection. My truck could have possibly caught fire due to this especially with the electrical burning smell. This all happened while the truck was off in my driveway

Recurring blackouts of IOR 7-inch in-dash Infotainment System, ranging from minutes to hours, which render access to vehicle controls, audio/radio, and safety features inoperative, including OnStar, vehicle navigation, backup camera, and other features. Additionally, without warning, radio has unexpected and sudden spikes in maximum volume even when powered down. After repeated repair attempts, Manufacturer has attempted to place blame on incompatible iPhones and non-OEM cables used to connect, but the issues occur even when no cellular telephones are connected through either USB or Bluetooth.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 at 61,000 miles Salem, OR

EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER

A/C UNIT DOES NOT WORK. RECHARGE THE SYSTEM AND IT LEAKS OUT. GM/CHEVROLET KNOWS OF THE ISSUE AND HAS RECALLED OTHER MODELS USING THE SAME EQUIPMENT. NOT ON THE CHEVROLET SILVERADO MODELS. NO MENTION OF LEAKS OR ISSUES BY THE DEALERSHIP DURING REGULAR MAINTENANCE. ON JUNE 20TH 2020 I PAID TO HAVE THE SYSTEM RECHARGED, DIDNT BLOW REALLY COLD BUT GRADUALLY IT GOT WARMER, NOW IT BLOWS HOT AIR. LAST FALL OCT 2019 IT WAS NOT BLOWING COLD AIR, IN FEBRUARY 15 2920 WHILE DRIVING THE AIR SEEMED TO GET WARMER, COULD NOT KEEP THE CAB COOL. AFTER REVIEWING RECALL INFORMATION AND OTHER REVIEWS OF ISSUES I SEE THAT THE $1,100 OR MORE FOR REPLACEMENT OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT, PLUS THE LONG DELAY BECAUSE GM/CHEVROLET HAS A SHORTAGE OF THE SPECIFIC PARTS (BACK ORDERED). I THINK THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL TO FORCE GM/ CHEVROLET TO FIX THIS ISSUE THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT SINCE BEFORE MY TRUCK WAS EVEN BUILT.

2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 at 3,000 miles Davison, MI

EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT:VIDEO (TOUCH)SCREEN/MONITOR/UNIT

INFOTAINMENT SCREEN IS TOO BRIGHT FOR NIGHT DRIVING. NO DIMMER CONTROL. THE BACKUP CAMERA IS SO BRIGHT YOU CANNOT SEE OUT OF THE CAB. I ALMOST RAN INTO A TREE TYING TO BACK THIS THING UP AT NIGHT. DRIVING AT NIGHT, I WAS CONSTANTLY DISTRACTED BY THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE DISPLAY. YOU CAN TURN OFF THE DISPLAY, BUT IF YOU NEED NAVIGATION THAT DOESN'T WORK. YOU CAN DIM THE INTERIOR LIGHTS, BUT BY THEE TIME THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN IS DIM ENOUGH YOU CAN NO LONGER SEE THE GAUGES. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION.
