2016 Chrysler Town AND Country Devils Lake, ND

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

I have this vehicle and the drivers side sliding door has locked up completely. I will not unlock or open manually or electrically. I had it in for a diagnostic at a certified body shop in Devils Lake, ND 58301. They say it is the locking mechanism or actuator. I have recently been informed that Chrysler has extended the warranty for thi part to 15 years or 150K. But my vehicle does not show up as having a recall for this. The bulletin number I am referring to is 23-036-21. It covers 2015 and 2016 town and countrys mine is a 2016. How do I get this covered

2012 Chrysler Town AND Country Dorchester, MA

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The ignition switch AKA WIN MODULE has to be broken, making it extremely dangerous to drive my vehicle. Any time I go over a bump or the key wiggles slightly the car will turn right off and I lose full control over the car. I have to find a safe place to pull over and restart the car by taking the key out and putting the key back in. The part where the key goes in is very very loose. This puts myself and my kids at risk especially driving on the highway! Whenever this happens I would have to find a way to come to a complete stop in which the brakes start skipping because of the malfunction. After research , I have found that there was a recall with the other Chrysler town and counties from year 2008-2010. I’m not surprised that this is now happening with my vehicle . This is extremely dangerous.

2015 Chrysler Town AND Country Ishpeming, MI

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Transmission completely failed and had to be risky rebuilt. I was just driving down the highway and the transmission went into limp mode and I came to a fast slow down as it dropped the gearing. Also have noticed a huge issue with electronics putting me into a limp mode with wipers on headlights wont shut off, lose dash lights and speedometer with no blinkers or hazard lights. This left me in a very unsafe place as I had no way to tell other drivers where I was going or see how fast im going. Could have caused a huge accident 😕. Please look into this as there are many issues of this happening.

2013 Chrysler Town AND Country Grand Rapids, MN

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

When I started my car I heard a “ding” and saw that my airbag light was on. I called the local dealership to ask about it and they said that in the case of a crash that light usually indicates that there is something wrong with the sensors to the airbags and if I was to get into an accident, they wouldn’t deploy; which could cause loss of life if there is failure to deploy. My vehicle also revs and has more get up and go (when I’m not intentionally accelerating) sometimes when I’m driving which is abnormal and can cause an accident.

2012 Chrysler Town AND Country Murphy, ID

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The TIPMs system has been recalled in multiple vehicles and has causes a fuel pump relay failure and numerous other electrical issues . Chryslers recall has yet to include this year make and model despite the fact the identical part is used in the recalled vehicles. Chrysler is picking and choosing which vehicles this recall applies to and it’s putting families at risk of the TIPM failing and leaving them stranded at any time. Chrysler has a packaged replacement part under “recall pricing” but refuses to cover labor to install the new part on certain vehicles.

2013 Chrysler Town AND Country at 214,289 miles Lakewood, CO

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The vehicle will be started and running and shut off. Driving down the road and all of the electrical shuts off, stops running and no gages work. You have to put the vehicle in N and restart. This is extremely dangerous as you never know when it will happen. driving down the interstate at 80mph or driving when you can't just pull over to get started again. Failure in the ignition is what we think. There is an active recall but not for our VIN 2013 Chrysler Town & Country vehicles may stall or shut off while driving due to a known recall regarding a faulty Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) module, which can allow the key to move from the "run" to "accessory" or "off" position.

2014 Chrysler Town AND Country Valdosta, GA

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

2014 Chrysler Town & Country experienced active diagnostic trouble code P2764 — Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Circuit Low. Vehicle was non-driveable. Authorized Chrysler dealership technician documented that voltage from TIPM to Valve Body was shorted to ground — confirming a wiring harness electrical defect. The dealership replaced the Valve Body three separate times without resolving the defect. The wiring harness was never permanently repaired despite being identified as the root cause. Manufacturer issued written admission that no repair could ensure resolution after 210 days out of service. The electrical short in the wiring harness affecting the transmission control circuit represents a safety defect that rendered the vehicle inoperable and uncontrollable during acceleration.

2010 Chrysler Town AND Country Duluth, MN

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

While driving my car it stopped all of a sudden leaving the car behind to slide out of control so not to hit me. A light came on. when I read the code it said vehicle ignition switch. This also happened a year ago only the car didn’t stop it slowed down to 5 miles an hour. I did repair it a year ago only for it to happen again. This is a very serious thing as I had my grand babies with me and the car behind me had three children.

While driving at highway speed, 65mph, the 2013 Town and Country shut down. The dash instruments and all internal lighting shut off, the radio shut off and the blower fan for heat shut off. I lost the ability to steer and brake (power steering went out) but managed to maneuver the vehicle to the right lane. The car would not respond to any acceleration attempt. I tried turning the key while coasting down the highway, the vehicle did not restart. I then put the vehicle into neutral and tried turning the key and it did not restart. I then turned the key to the off position and then tried to restart and it successfully started. My dash instruments illuminated, the radio and heat blower came back on and I was able to regain control of the vehicle.
