Sogefi Secondary Diesel Fuel Filter Leak
The Office of Defect Investigations (ODI) has received 27 complaints alleging diesel fuel leaks due to a fracture in the secondary fuel filter housing in model year (MY) 2015-2021 Ford Motor Company (Ford) F-250, 350, 450, and 550 Super Duty vehicles equipped with 6.7L diesel engines. Of these complaints, 12 describe an engine compartment fire. The proximity of the secondary fuel filter to high heat sources creates a potential for autoignition thermal events and fires. ODI has contacted the vehicle manufacturer, Ford, and the filter manufacturer, Allevard Sogefi USA (Sogefi), and learned that...

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.
Risk: A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles. Dust may accumulate in the steering wheel clock spring, causing a disconnection in the electrical connection resulting in the driver's air bag not deploying as intended.
Risk: A disconnected driver's air bag can result in it not deploying, as intended, during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LLC (Icon) is recalling all 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.
Risk: If the steering locks, it can increase the risk of a crash.

The tires installed during assembly of the affected vehicles may have sustained damage to the inner sidewall, possibly resulting in a loss of air or a tire rupture.

Agency started vehicle and drove to the Pest Mgmt Shop at Patrick AFB, As the vehicle crossed the main gate, the driver heard a strange noise coming from the driver side of the hood near the side mirror, sound got faster. As he approached Anvil Ave, all power to the vehicle went down leaving him with only brake and steering control. At the same time the driver saw flames spew from the driver side panel of the hood. He pulled over, exited vehicle and contacted base fire dept.

The 2016 model does not include a cabin air filter. It put me and my kids at risk. It puts the elderly, people with immune issues, kids, etc., at risk. I developed severe asthma at 37 years old and a non smoker. Over the past 4 years, driving the 2016 Ford 350, it came with unexplainable upper respiratory infections. I'm now on 2 types of inhalers. I spoke to Ford and they did not care that the 2016 model does not have a cabin filter. (If this was not a problem, then why does the models after 2016 come with one??) All I was hoping, is that Ford would add a cabin air filter to my truck. I'm not asking the company to pay the doctor bills or give me back 4 years of breathing. I'm just asking for the company to apply a piece of equipment to my truck that would help me breath and not directly take in all stuff coming in my truck. I literally smell everything. Everything comes through: Vehicle exhaust from other vehicles Chemicals in air Pollution while driving in cities (dallas) Pollen Dust Clay/dirt Smoke...fires burning...cigerate... Just driving on the interstate, other vehicle exhaust comes in. I turn ac off. (It gets hot inTexas) This sets off asthma attacks. Even if parked and someone has their truck running...the exhaust comes in. I'm considering talking to a lawyer about about this, since Ford will not consider my complaint and willing help me. However, I care about others. No kid should be inhaling exhaust or anything that can cause issues with the lungs. I wish Ford would do what's right and fix the 2016 models. After being in and out of doctor's offices, I was diagnosed with severe asthma on 12/27/2021.

The camera is currently malfunctioning and I can not see behind me when I back up. Dealers state no parts available and no timeline for repair, only willing to help if I pay a $200 diagnostic fee. Vehicle remains unrepaired.

I keep on hand a set of fuel filters and other filters for my personal vehicle. The set I just installed (fuel filters), the upper one, made of plastic, exploded while purging the air out of the diesel system. Diesel went all over the motor, the exhaust, the turbo, and all over my garage. While looking into this more, I found more people in the listings showing the same thing to happen to them. I had to go out and spend another $103 to fix this problem, so I could get my vehicle up and running again. Now, imagine if this engine was hot, the exhaust hot, the turbo hot. This would have ignited the fuel and possibly caused a wreck and or loss of life. I use my vehicle to tow a 5.5 ton trailer, so the motor can run warm some days. This could have been extremely dangerous to myself and others around me. I have contacted Amazon about this seller, but when Amazon allows anyone to sell anything on there, there is opportunity for people to sell fake garbage. I have kept the filter that exploded, along with the packaging. Comparing the old with the one that exploded, I can now tell the fakes from the originals. The truck has started a violent wabble on the front end making it hard to control and causing me to cone to a total stop. I have been driving the vehicle locally and at slow speeds. I have taken the vehicle to a shop for inspection at a tire and alignment shop and they recommend replacing tires and shocks. I have contacted Ford and they say I need to make an appointment to discuss. It apers, per internet research, that this is a common problem with the Super Duties. One of the times it happened I was in traffic but able to control during the stop using median. This vehicle displays the symptoms that indicate the Ford Death Wabble I have read about on the internet. No warnings.
