I took my Honda in to a dealership for a trade-in value assessment. The dealership used automatic start with my key fob. Once they got in, they began to drive it in immediately it would not go past 10 mph, began jerking, and steering became an issue. It begin throwing the following check engine light codes: Tire pressure monitor problem. Electric Parking Brake problem. Road Departure Mitigation system problem. Collision mitigation system problem. Adaptive cruise control problem. Hill start assist problem. Vehicle stability, assist problem. Power steering system problem. Brake hold system problem. Brake system problem. Emissions system problem. Trade-in became impossible and it was not safe to even drive off the lot. It remains sitting in the car dealerships parking lot, leaving me without a vehicle.

I was driving 35 mph and my car automatically braked suddenly despite no object in the road. Afterwards I checked the front of my vehicle and there was no obvious dirt/bugs/etc on the front radar or camera. I now turn off the collision mitigating braking system each time I start the car as I'm afraid it will brake again without cause.

I am writing to formally log a product quality and safety complaint regarding my 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid.The Low-Speed Braking Control system frequently triggers severe, abrupt false-positive braking events in common driving environments, such as steep driveways, when recreational bike rack is attached and areas with minor vegetation. While the software allows the driver to disable this feature within the Driver Information Interface, the vehicle overrides driver autonomy by automatically resetting the system to "ON" every time the ignition is cycled.Forcing a driver to navigate multiple digital menus before every single trip to disable a system prone to false-positives is an ergonomic hazard. Unexpected, automated slam-braking while trying to merge or back into live traffic creates a distinct risk of a rear-end collision.Other major manufacturers (such as Toyota with PKSB) successfully balance safety compliance and driver utility by allowing user settings to persist after a restart, using a standard dashboard warning light instead.I request that Honda release a future software update to allow the Low-Speed Braking Control system configuration to remain in the user's last selected state (ON or OFF) between drive cycles. Please log this issue under my VIN in your corporate quality tracking database. This has reached a level of safety concern for me to consider trading in for a vehicle that allows safe functionality in a practical manner. This is not a feature for outdoor user on a vehicle marketed as a Sport model. Previous models of Honda had the option to switch this feature off and on as needed instead of the automatic reset during the start cycle.

All of the ADAS lights, check engine, and brake lights come on every 2-3 weeks. Has been taken to the shop multiple times now. So far have had the battery changed, spark plugs changed, and fuel injectors.

The hybrid fan died after 23k miles of use and put the car into limp mode on the highway, the lane departure system frequently does not work, and the car has never come to close to the estimated MPG.

The steering wheel has developed resistance to turning left and right. It is most noticeable when driving on highways where small steering inputs are needed to keep the vehicle within a lane. The steering wheel with stick in place requiring more effort than normal to turn in either direction. When the steering wheel does turn, there is an audible click sound. The additional force needed to rotate the steering wheel past the sticking point can cause oversteering. This makes it difficult to smoothly control the vehicle and keep it within the lane while driving. I purchased this vehicle new from a Honda dealership in the fall of 2021. The vehicle currently is at 41,000 miles, but the problem began within a year of purchase and with less than 10,000 miles. The sticking and clicking sound is not constant, making the problem difficult to diagnose. The steering system is completely original (as purchased), and it has not been in a collision that would have caused damage to the steering system.

My 2022 CRV steering wheel sticks when driving and does not want to turn and is difficult to steer causing me to have to force the wheel and nearly wreck my car. The steering wheel also feels loose and spins around and round while at a stop. The steering wheel knocks/pops during a hard turns. Since this a safety issue well documented online for Honda CRV 2022-2025, I would expect for there to be a recall, but there is not one on my 2022 CRV even though I have been experiencing the issue since 4-6 months ago.

I purchased this 2017 Honda CRV Touring edition in February 2026. A couple months after that, I was driving slowly (but slightly faster than usual) in the large parking lot of a local grocery story. The grocery store has movable speed bumps placed in the parking lot. As I was approaching one of the speed bumps, the car suddenly slammed on the brakes. To the best of my recollection, I do not believe I was given a warning first. When this happened, I of course felt a jolt. I was worried that I had hit something, but I concluded that I had not hit something and that jolt had just been an automatic braking incident caused by the speed bump up ahead. I was not previously aware that the car had an automatic braking feature. Later, I tried to recreate the incident by again approaching the speedbump from the same direction and at a similar speed, but I was not able to recreate it. I have now owned the car for about six months, and this is the only incident I am aware of in which the automatic emergency braking was used. (The various brake warnings -- the dashboard light and the beep -- have functioned acceptably.) I am concerned that this issue could lead to a crash, especially if it occurs in heavy traffic or while I am traveling at freeway speeds. If the car is going to be spooked by a speedbump, what else could cause it to be spooked?

All the safety lights came on on the dashboard suddenly the brake assist did not work. Honda tells me the brake servo is bad. This is a known defect as other 2020 crv hybrids were recalled for the same reason. It is a dangerous safety hazard.

I am writing to formally request that Honda investigate and acknowledge a significant security and safety concern regarding the front radar module used on certain Honda vehicles equipped with Honda Sensing. The front radar module appears to be easily accessible from the front of the vehicle and can reportedly be removed by a thief in a matter of seconds without requiring specialized tools. Because of its location and lack of adequate theft protection, it has become an attractive target for theft. The theft of this component is more than a financial inconvenience. Once the radar module is removed, critical driver-assistance and safety features—including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning, and other Honda Sensing functions—may become unavailable until the sensor is replaced and professionally calibrated. This can leave owners without important safety technologies they relied upon when purchasing the vehicle. I respectfully ask Honda to investigate this issue, acknowledge the vulnerability, and consider implementing a remedy for affected vehicles. Possible solutions could include an improved anti-theft mounting system, a redesigned sensor location, or other security enhancements that make unauthorized removal significantly more difficult. As Honda owners, we should be able to feel confident leaving our vehicles parked without worrying that a critical safety component can be stolen in seconds. Beyond the financial burden of replacing the radar module, the loss of these safety features can affect the safe operation of the vehicle and diminish driver confidence. I urge Honda to take this concern seriously, communicate with affected owners, and evaluate whether a service campaign or safety recall is appropriate. At a minimum, I hope Honda will acknowledge the issue and work toward a solution that improves the security of the front radar module and restores owners' confidence in the safety of their vehicl

The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at a very slow speed in heavy traffic, the vehicle suddenly experienced "Phantom Braking" causing the vehicle to abruptly stop in the middle of the road, causing a second vehicle to almost crash into the rear end of the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 18,540.
