Vehicle: 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL Mileage: Approximately 14,500 miles Tire: Original factory-installed 235/60R18 Incident Date: August 13, 2026 Time: Approximately 2:24 PM Location: US 751 near Garrett Road, North Carolina Injuries: None At approximately 2:24 PM on August 13, 2026, a 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL with approximately 14,500 miles experienced a sudden front driver’s-side tire blowout while being driven on US 751 near Garrett Road in North Carolina. The vehicle was equipped with the original factory-installed 235/60R18 tires. The tire failed suddenly while the vehicle was being driven, creating a significant safety concern and potential loss of vehicle control. No injuries were reported. I went to the location to assist. Initially, I believed the damage was limited to the tire. The damaged tire was replaced so the vehicle could be driven safely, and the tires were subsequently replaced at a tire shop. After the incident, an unusual and persistent noise developed from the front driver’s-side area. Because the noise continued after the tire replacement, the vehicle was taken to a repair facility for further inspection. The vehicle is currently at the repair facility, and I am waiting for the inspection and repair findings. I do not yet have the mechanic’s final diagnosis regarding the source of the noise or whether there is additional mechanical damage. The front driver’s-side wheel/rim also sustained visible scratches and damage during the incident. I have photographs documenting the damaged tire and wheel, although the original damaged tire has already been replaced and is no longer in my possession. Given that the vehicle had only approximately 14,500 miles and the tire was an original factory-installed tire, I am concerned about the safety implications of a sudden tire failure on a relatively new vehicle. I am submitting this complaint to NHTSA so that this incident can be documented and evaluated for any potential safety issue or pattern involving t

Had an issue with driver assist radar when in complete control. Until you’re not! Brakes lock up skidding tires and causing seat belts to lock up. It happens so suddenly it scares you to the point of heart attack. This has happened: merely backing out of driveway, when accelerating in your lane with car in turn lane beside you turning right. And most recently on FL Turnpike while in stopped/slowed traffic due to emergency vehicles trying to get to scene of Naples wildfire. When I accelerated as traffic resumed at slow speed the car locks up brakes, squalling tires and slewing sideways. It startled me so much my heart was racing and I didn’t know if the car was still running or not. There was an 18 wheeler coming up behind and I was frozen not knowing what to do next. I don’t know if sensitivity can be adjusted or what it needs but my heart can’t take many more of these incidents. I will report to dealer as well. I know there is a Reddit thread about these same issues that my daughter found on researching this issue.

The situation I’m about to explain has happened twice—once in December 2025 and again on January 22, 2026. In December, the roads were very icy, but there was no snow on the ground. As I made a right turn into a Walmart parking lot, I heard a loud metal-breaking sound while turning. I immediately got out and looked underneath my 2018 Hyundai Tucson SEL but didn’t see anything unusual. After finishing my shopping, I started the SUV to pull out of the parking space. The car was trying to move, but the rear tires were not moving at all. A man waiting for my parking spot noticed this and told me one of the tires wasn’t turning. As I drove home, I heard extremely loud metal noises coming from the back of the vehicle—sounds like metal twisting, breaking, and falling to the ground. At no point did any warning lights come on. I took the car to a highly rated mechanic, Premier Car Care, where they did a thorough inspection and found nothing wrong. After being reassured that the vehicle was safe, I continued driving it. Then on January 22, 2026, the same issue happened again. I was driving to my internship, and the roads were slushy. Suddenly, the Tucson became unstable, slid unexpectedly, and I heard the same metal twisting and breaking noises. This time, the ABS light came on briefly and then went off. The vehicle felt unsafe and unstable, even though I was driving very slowly—around 15 miles per hour. I was terrified and nearly hit someone. I had the car towed through Triple A back to the mechanic, but once again, they were unable to find the cause after inspecting it, and it is sitting in my driveway. I am reaching out because I am on disability, I have three children with autism, and I am also currently in school. I rely on this vehicle, and I truly need help investigating what is happening so this issue can be properly identified and fixed before someone gets seriously hurt.

2023 Hyundai Tuscon - Very Low Milage approx 6500 Miles - while in a parking lot, The rear passenger Carrier ARM which holds the Control arm fully cracked causing the Control arm to fall off. This product failure is unprecedented as it was a total part manufacture failure. NO impact or under carriage damage was found, even upon Dealer inspection. I as the driver of the vehicle confirm that No impact, accident occurred, and luckily I was not on a highway when it occurred. This was caused ONLY as a result of Product Failure. My concern is that this may occur on the other wheel(s) as a product failure is often NOT a one- product issue, but usually a batch failure. So I am concerned for my safety and the safety of others on the road with this vehicle and product part. Another concern - this vehicle was manufactured during the covid era, and I am concerned about product failures as parts were difficult to get and may have been sourced without proper testing during this time). Kindly advise me on your findings, and if there is an inspection that can be performed to assure me that the car is safe.

While driving a 2025 Hyundai Tucson rental vehicle (VIN: [XXX] ), I experienced a sudden and unintended acceleration, and the steering appeared to turn without input. The vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree on a local street two blocks from my residence. The result was the wheel was popped off of it's axel and deflated immediately. Two days prior, I experienced a similar event in the same vehicle — sudden acceleration and braking hard making a loud braking noise. I suspect a mechanical or electronic malfunction. No warning or sensors were alerting me that this would happen. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I previously leased my vehicle from Rick Case Hyundai in April 2023, In November i started having issues with my vehicle as i moved to Colorado. My whole vehicle starts to uncontrollably shake going 25 mph and over. Since highway speed limit is 65 that is where i struggle the most with driving and that is the most endangering as well. I have to pump my breaks and hope they don't stop working. I have taken my car to get a diagnostic multiple times at different dealerships and each time i went to another dealership they advised a different problem I can send an email or mail with all attachments of diagnostic reports from Hyundai dealership. Each dealership advised one of these problems, engine, brakes, rotors, tires, etc, although the vehicle was a few months old! I reported lemon l to Hyundai Customer service with 2 different attempts and they denied my lemon law and advised i should pay for anything not under warranty. Although the vehicle has a manufacture defect i will be continuing to attempt different dealerships to help my cause since i am endangering myself and everyone around me. I have done enough research to know i am not the only person with this problem and this should be a recall defect. I need a solution so i can drive in the state i live in ,Colorado, and not be scared for my life that my car will stop working at some point.

Have been driving the vehicle for nearly a year but while driving my motor blew exhausting blue all black smoke and then when I turn the car off the car was completely dead when I was getting it towed it could not be told because both of the front wheels had locked and no matter if I put the vehicle in neutral the car will not move come to find out that the bearing ride has shot a hole through the motor block. Took the vehicle to two different Hyundai dealership was told the same thing that no one would take the vehicle or trade it in for an the value for another vehicle that I was stuck with the vehicle and had to pay for the damages which was about 12 Grand also vehicle has been down in my driveway for the last year now cuz Hyundai refused to pay it without $190 diagnostic fee again on top of 12 Grand to replace my motor and the vehicle is not even worth all that money when I don't have much left to pay on it even though I only had the vehicle for only 2 years now but only driven it for only one. Lastly I've also read where there was a recall on these vehicles for the the baron rod and the engine malfunction as well as a new system being put into this these vehicles I was not aware of these recalls because it purchase of this vehicle was right when the recall window had closed and I ended up having a problem now they won't do anything about it can someone please do something about this vehicle.

#1. The airbag light comes on saying the passenger airbag is not connected (something like that). #2. Braking lights did stop working and stayed on while the car was turned off. I never received any recall notice of this and we fixed it ourselves. #3. And most important and dangerous! The back driver's side wheel froze up and started to catch on fire. We had the Caliper, and several other surrounding parts changed and the master cylinder when it almost caught fire again. A mechanic could not figure it out. I did a lot of research and discovered the problems with the ABS, which I strongly believe this is the problem. I cannot drive it at all. The emergency brake is like mush and does not work at all. I have now read of these cars catching fire from the ABS and people have died! My car is a 2008 and not the year of the car that has been recalled. But my 2008 is doing the same thing. My special needs son and I could have been killed! Flaming red inside the tire area. We threw bottles of water on it so it wouldn't catch on fire and catch all the other cars and buildings on fire. Please help! Also, the ECS light comes on for no reason. I'm afraid of this car and I'm afraid to sell it to someone who may be killed by it. We thought we fixed this problem in 2020 but it started catching on fire again in 2022 and had not been driven since Aug. 2022 since the last fire flames and stinky smoke that comes out from the back tire area.

My truck was stolen so most likely they messed up my ignition. Before this my lights keep going out every time I replace one a different one goes out. Wheel always going out of air and my truck always jerking when driving or breaking. I am a victim of the “Kia and Hyundai” boys in Baltimore city that’s going around stealing people cars.

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Tuscan. The contact stated that the air pressure in all four tires had continued to leak causing the tire air pressure warning to display. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that all four wheel air valves were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

I called Wayne Mazda on 9/7/22 to make an appointment to fix this brake recall and to have my car serviced. I was given an appointment for January 17, 2023, which is 4 months later. I called several times to try and get a current appointment and was denied each time, so I contacted Hyundai and filed a complaint. My case number is 20485596. Also my dashboard light showing low tire pressure stays on, even though AAA came and filled the tires. We are seniors and my husband is in a wheelchair, and I feel 4 months is an unreasonable length of time to wait for a brake (potential fire) recall and service. Any help you can provide with this complaint would be appreciated.

I purchased the vehicle 3/31/2022, & it left with recalls. I brought it BacK with 48hr, as the check engine light turn on, also the tires, dashboard, and overall the screen. Its been left at the dealer and no results. Also it has affected my life as a disabled handicap person as I'm unable to get to and from doctor appointment etc including to transport my scooter or wheel chair. its a nightmare. I came to purchase a car and was given a "lemon". with only 12miles purchased. I was directed by finance department to proceed with this matter for a resolution as we resolve this matter. The vehicle has been a problematic problem from the start. Definitely not standing firm on the customer Hyundai core value & warranty. The car is at the dealer and I'm temporally with a loaner on which I need to know all my option before we proceed. This is a very serious matter on which Hyundai is fully aware & infant they directed me to this process. My life was at risk as I was told to keep a car that is unreliable with a donut tire without repair. I felt as if I could've die if something was to happen to me within a week until service still count fix the tires as I was placed in jeopardy of my life & kids during Labor Day weekend.. Driving an unsafe vehicle. I was in concern since day 1!

THIS CAR HAS HAD AN ACTIVE RECALL FOR MONTHS, I HAVE TRIED TO GET THIS FIXED AND WHEN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE CAR SERVICED THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE RECALL AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET IT. NOW I ALSO HAVE A WARNING ON THE DASHBOARD FOR AN ISSUE WITH TIRES AND CAN'T GET IN TO SEE THEM AS I HAD AN APPOINTMENT THEY CANCELED. AT THIS POINT I THINK THEIR MAINTENANCE PROGRAM IS FRAUDULENT AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED

* VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SHEEHY HYUNDAI IN DECEMBER 2017 FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE, WHICH INCLUDED A TIRE ROTATION. * VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SHEEHY HYUNDAI IN FEBRUARY 2018 FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE WITH AN ADDITIONAL COMPLAINT FOR NOISES WHEN MAKING TURNS, PARTICULARLY TO THE LEFT. * THE SHEEHY HYUNDAI SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED A TIRE WAS RUBBING A CONTROL ARM. MY DAUGHTER DECLINED THE REPAIR BECAUSE THE SERVICE CENTER DID NOT STATE IT WAS AN URGENT ISSUE. * VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SHEEHY HYUNDAI AGAIN IN MARCH 2018 AND WAS GIVEN AN ALIGNMENT TO DEAL WITH THE VIBRATION AND NOISE. ACCORDING TO INVOICE, THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED. * MY DAUGHTER COMPLAINED AGAIN OF THE NOISE AND VIBRATION. SHE WAS SCHEDULED TO COME IN NEXT WEEK TO HAVE THE DEALERSHIP LOOK AT THE ISSUE. * WHILE DRIVING TO WORK THIS MORNING (25 MAY 2018), NEAR EXIT 13 ON INTERSTATE 495 SHE HEARD A POP AND VEHICLE SWERVED ALL OVER THE LANES. SHE ENDED UP RIGHT NEAR A GUARD RAIL. THE TIRE CAME COMPLETELY OFF AND TWO INSERT BOLTS ON THE DRUM WERE SHEARED. * I CALLED SHEEHY HYUNDAI AND EXPLAINED THE CIRCUMSTANCES. THE SERVICE MANAGER RELAYED THAT THEY WERE NOT LIABLE SINCE THEY DID AN ALIGNMENT ON THE LAST SERVICE AND DID NOT TOUCH THE TIRES. * I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THEY WERE THE LAST ONES TO WORK ON THE VEHICLE AND NO ONE HAS DONE ANYTHING WITH THE TIRES. I ALSO REMINDED HIM THAT MY DAUGHTER HAD BEEN THERE MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE DECEMBER. * THE SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT AN ALIGNMENT WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN CARE OF ANY VIBRATION ANYWAY. * THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT THAT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FAILED TO COMPLETELY TIGHTEN LUGS AND MISSED THIS ISSUE THAT COULD HAVE LED TO MULTIPLE INJURIES AND FATALITIES. I INFORMED HIM THAT IF HE SUGGESTS THAT THE LUGS AND WHEEL JUST CAME OFF, THEN HYUNDAI CORPORATE NEEDS TO BE NOTIFIED OF THIS VEHICLE DEFECT.
