My concern is with the tire pressure monitoring system. The vehicle does not show the individual PSI for each tire. Instead, when there is a tire pressure concern, it alerts the driver and instructs the driver to pull over somewhere safe and manually check the tire pressure. The issue became more concerning after one of my tires was replaced with a different tire brand than the other tires. Since then, the vehicle has continued to display a warning message on the dashboard to check the tires. This creates a serious safety issue because if the warning message is already constantly appearing, I may not be properly alerted if there is an actual tire problem, such as a flat tire, dangerously low tire pressure, or another tire failure. The warning becomes less reliable because the driver cannot easily tell whether the alert is due to the existing tire mismatch issue or a new, urgent tire safety problem. This is especially concerning to me as a mother of babies. I frequently drive with my children in the vehicle, and I rely on the vehicle’s safety systems to provide clear and accurate warnings. If the tire pressure system is already giving an ongoing warning, I may not know when there is a real and immediate tire issue that could affect the safety of my children and me while driving. I also believe it is a safety issue that the vehicle requires the driver to pull over and manually check tire pressure instead of displaying the individual tire pressures on the dashboard. Depending on where I am driving, it may not be safe to pull over, especially on a freeway, busy road, poorly lit area, or unsafe location. Having to exit the vehicle to manually check tire pressure can put me and my children at risk. I am requesting that NHTSA review this concern because the TPMS warning system may not provide clear, reliable, and specific information to the driver when a different tire brand has been installed. I believe this could prevent drivers from recognizing an actual tire emergency.

My dealer cancelled my appointment because it doesn’t have required parts. They say waiting time can be more than two months, and don’t provide a loaner or replacement car. The other dealers said waiting time is 2 months. When I call the manufacturer to solve this issue they said to call the dealer. I believe the manufacturer is failing to remedy this safety recall within a reasonable time and is leaving consumers without a safe alternative. Goodday, I bought the car a month ago from a dealer on terms. The first time i drove car and turning right its sounds like the wheel or something is about to break off. Like maybe the axel. Extremly loud. Scary loud. No matter speed, turning right does this. I returned car to dealer. They say the router had rust and was corrected. I dont drive the car alot, but again today its making that noise. That pedestrians look worried.

My car has under 6,000 mi on it. I bought it new and it has had this problem from the start. The TPMS alarms time after time. I go through all the routine of checking the tires and resetting the alarm system as per the manual. It might stay off for 10 mi or for 100 mi, but for sure it will come back on, and when the tires are checked, they are OK. So I reset it again and repeat the process. I have taken it to the dealer 5 times for this issue and have another appointment scheduled for next week. Twice they just reset it without checking me into the service dept. 3 times they checked it into the shop and worked on it. They called the Honda corp and ask them what to do, and were told to balance the tires. That actually worked for a while, but the problem just came back. When the monitoring system goes off, we don't know if it is for real or not. We won't leave town with the car because of that. If we disregard the alarm, it might be that we actually have a low or flat time and could have an accident or even be killed. I virtually won't leave town with the car because I don't know when or if it is giving me good information, and also.... EVERY time it happened, I MUST stop and check all the tires air pressure and then reset the system. I think that this is a dangerous issue.

There was a safety recall for the rear arm control and excessive rust, Honda said they fixed it back in 2018… out of no where my car lost control and caused me to crash, I brought the car back to Honda and the rear arm bracket broke off due to excessive rust however Honda states it was repaired and there is nothing they can do, they won’t even look at the vehicle.

We bought this vehicle for our grandson for a great price, so we signed an "as is"agreement, knowing the dealer didn't inspect it. We were unaware that the rear axle housing was completely rusted. On 1/1/2026, he was driving and the rear axle housing broke off and the car is disabled. We had it towed to our home. Is this expensive to repair and if so, where do we begin. It seems the recall was ignored. Is it worth repairing?

Scheduled recall to be looked at, however my local dealership called me the day of appointment to tell me they do not have the part for that and would need to order it and then schedule my appointment. So the person ordered it and then I had to call back to see if the part came in yet. Upon looking at my car on a lift, they told me they would have to charge me to fix the car because the lug nut they stripped looking at my vehicle was stripped. I was not willing to pay them so the dealership sent me home. I called back to see how to fix it and they never offered me an answer. It’s been needing the recall for years since and no Honda dealership is able to fix it.

The TPMS, a federally mandated safety system, has a persistent and intermittent communication fault, causing the warning lamp to remain illuminated. This renders the critical safety system inoperable, preventing notification of dangerously low tire pressure and placing vehicle occupants at risk. The fault first appeared since April 2025 after the vehicle required a jump start. Independent Diagnosis: An ASE-certified independent service center confirmed the persistent TPMS communication code. Exhaustive diagnostics verified that the battery, charging, starting systems, and parasitic draw are all normal. The technician concluded the failure is systemic (likely software/module related) and requires Honda factory/dealer proprietary equipment to resolve. Honda’s Refusal & Barrier to Repair: The vehicle has not been inspected by a Honda dealership because Honda Corporate (Case #16008453) Case Manager Kevin created an unreasonable barrier to repair: Kevin closed the goodwill case and refused to cover the diagnostic fee necessary to identify the fault in this safety system. During the final call, Kevin denied escalation, contradicted corporate's prior confirmation of a supervisor request, and refused written documentation of the denial. Honda's refusal to cover the diagnostic fee for a documented failure in a mandated safety system prevents the required manufacturer-level testing and resolution. I am filing this complaint due to the safety risk and Honda's procedural failures.

Ever since we purchased the vehicle in 2021, it it has made a loud screeching noise when backing up in humid weather or after rain. Whenever we brought it to the dealer's attention, we were told Honda National is aware of the issue and working on a solution. After 3 years of hearing the same thing, we wrote a letter to Honda National and filed a complaint with the NYS Attorney Generals Office. The Attorney General sent our complaint on to Honda for response. See attached documents for the history.

Dear National Recall Team, I am writing to report a recurring and potentially hazardous issue with my vehicle that has not yet been addressed through a recall. Since July 2024, I have experienced a problem with the steering wheel intermittently getting stuck, accompanied by a rattling noise from the left side of the vehicle. During a routine oil change, I asked the service technician to inspect the issue, but I was told everything appeared normal. Despite this, the problem has continued. I followed up with several phone calls but was consistently told that no issues could be found. I brought the vehicle back in again on Friday, where they replaced the brake fluid, yet once again reported no findings. Unfortunately, the steering issue and rattling noise persist, and I am increasingly concerned for my safety while operating the vehicle. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that only vehicles from model years 2022–2024 are currently covered under a recall for steering-related problems. As my vehicle does not fall within that range, I was told I do not qualify for assistance — despite experiencing similar symptoms. I respectfully request that this issue be investigated further, as it appears to pose a serious safety risk. I am happy to provide additional documentation or bring the vehicle in for inspection if needed. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

On Monday, April 21, I was traveling down a long hill (2 lanes up, 1 downhill) when my vehicle went into an uncontrolled, broadside skid into 2 lanes of oncoming traffic. I continued to skid back to the right side of the road, back to the left, and finally back to the right where I got it pulled onto the berm. Upon examination, my right rear tire was tilted outward at approximately 30 degrees. The wheel was totally locked up. I called a towing company as the vehicle was completely unable to be driven. A state police officer showed up, apparently called by a passerby, for traffic control and assess the safety of the situation. The car was hauled via tilt-bed truck to my local auto repair shop. One of the mechanics there told me his wife had the same vehicle, only a year older, that he been recalled due to this being and issue for 2011. I called Honda customer care and was informed that the recall was not in effect for 2012 model year. Customer care advised me to have the car taken to a Honda dealership, which was done, again via tilt-bed. Both my local shop and the dealer said the damage was irreparable. Customer care said the case would be assigned to one of their agents, but nothing has happened since April 24, the day they were initially notified.

We were driving on [XXX] . Lane keep assist and cruise control were active at the time of the incident. We were driving in the leftmost lane when suddenly we heard a loud thud noise and the tire immediately went 90 degrees causing us to lose steering control. The vehicle went from the left lane into the shoulder, making contact with the side barrier on the highway with the tire as first point of contact. We immediately attempted to regain control of the vehicle and managed to steer it out of the barrier and slowly come to a skidding stop in the shoulder area. Multiple suspension components damaged, possibly transmission, wheel damaged, ball joint and axle damaged, left front strut, strut mount, strut bearing, and upper spring seat damaged. We got it fixed for the first time for 6.1k then they wires another fix for the back wheel because the entire wheel and more parts were damaged and they want to fix it for 1k more. and then today I got another quote for 1.3k for the strut. They have done multiple diagnostic tests and alignment tests but keep coming with more issues. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

After getting a tire rotation done for 2025 Honda CRV LX at 9199 miles at the dealership, when I took it out of their hands, I heard a consistent mechanical noise coming from one of the tires. I returned the car immediately back to the dealership to diagnose this issue. The dealership service center said that the car had a driver side broken wheel bearing, and it would take two days to get the part and fix it. I don't know if the dealership kept the broken part or threw it away. I regularly drive this car long distances on the highway, so having a broken wheel bearing puts me and other drivers at risk of a crash. The vehicle has not been inspected by others other than the dealership. There were no warning messages or other symptoms before. Only immediately after getting a tire rotation did this happen.

I was driving to the mailbox today and the car revved forward and the steering became hard to control and steer. This is the second incident. When I originally reported to the Supervisong Service agent at my Honda of Katy, Mr. John Kasimoff, he dismissed it since the "check engine light" did not turn off. He and the staff at Honda of Katy discouraged me from bringing in the car. I am afraid to drive the car in Texas. A car is necessary for my livelihood and to get around. Food shopping and to buy simple basic necessities require an automobile and can no longer afford taking Ubers and depend on the kindness of friends to assist me with deliveries and other transportation. The recall came merely days after purchasing my new car and it's suspect to me that no one at the dealership was unaware of ongoing issues when they keep contacting me about purchasing. Honda has yet to send information on when a possible solution for parts and service to my vehicle. They referred me to the Honda of Katy dealership but the dealership is referring me back to Honda Automotive. I need assistance because I want repairs and a full diagnostic made to my Honda CR-V hybrid Sport without any more delays.

At 9K miles excessive noise, sounds like a helicopter. Dealership confirmed all four tires were scalped, did an alignment and thought it might correct the problem. It has not, both the dealer and Corporate Honda refused to correct. Adaptive Cruise Control malfunction, major safety hazard. When engaged the car unexpectedly stops at all speeds on highway or rural roads, with no cars in sight in front of the vehicle. Have experienced multiple incidents or near rear end collisions because of abrupt braking. When brought to dealer they claimed they couldn't find any error codes, thought that maybe dirt was on the two radar sensing units... not the case, still continues to be an issue. Car turns off unexpectedly... on an on ramp to a highway, traffic was stopped. When traffic started moving the car turned off completely... warning light stated see dealer. Put the car in park and restarted vehicle, brought to dealer who claimed no error codes. All the above happened at the 9K miles, none of the major safety hazard issues were confirmed by the dealer or Corporate Honda. Am at a loss as to next steps. Please advise, thanks.

Recently, I had a flat tire. Our 2024 CR-V Hybrid does not have a spare. The tire inflator/sealant did not repair the flat. We were two hours away from home on a Saturday afternoon, and no tire repair shops were open. We had the car towed to the nearest tire repair shop and left for the rest of the weekend since no repair places were open Sunday. Monday we drove two hours to get the car. The tire was able to be repaired. If the tire could be repaired why wasn't the sealant able to repair the tire? We live in Utah, and we were lucky to have been as close to a repair shop as we were. Without a spare tire and an inflator/sealant that is unable to repair the tire with a simple hole, this car is unsafe to drive.

While driving on the highway, my daughter experienced an issue that caused her to lose the ability to steer the vehicle. The vehicle went off of the road and into a guardrail causing damage to the left side of the car. Prior to losing the ability to steer, she thought she felt some strange shaking. Thankfully, she was not hurt and did not collide with any other vehicles. The situation could have ended much worse than it did. The vehicle is currently at the dealership being inspected. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the incident. The issue seems very similar to other issues that we have read about affecting 2024 CRVs and other Honda models that cause difficulty steering. Much like the issues we read about, this was a new vehicle with low mileage and during winter months.
