Found that SOS nor OnStar buttons were not working. Dealership checked telematics control module was failing. Service bulletins were issued for wide spread failures, however no recall notices were issued. The module failure will also prevent notifications in the event of a traffic crash. Estimated repair cost $900. A true safety issue that should require a recall.

COMPONENT: The 10-speed automatic transmission failed on 6/29/26, locking the vehicle completely in neutral. The neutral override could not be disengaged even by dealership technicians. Vehicle is currently at [XXX] Chevrolet, [XXX] and is available for inspection. SAFETY RISK: I have 3 young children who are regular passengers. The failure occurred without warning. Had it happened at highway speed in oncoming traffic, I would have had no ability to move the car — creating a direct risk of a serious or fatal collision. CONFIRMED BY DEALER: Yes. Don Hewlett Chevrolet received the vehicle on 6/30/26 and confirmed the failure is directly related to two active federal recalls: NHTSA #24V-797 (10-speed transmission valve body failure/wheel lockup) and NHTSA #22V-036 (driveshaft assembly/loss of propulsion). Vehicle has been unrepaired for 13 days with no timeline provided. OTHER INSPECTIONS: Vehicle has been in possession of Don Hewlett Chevrolet since 6/30/26. No manufacturer representative, police, or insurance inspection has occurred. WARNING SIGNS: None. No warning lamps, messages, or symptoms appeared before the failure. The power train locked suddenly and completely without any prior indication on 6/29/26. Despite the dealer confirming this is recall-related, they have indicated I may owe partial repair costs. Under 49 U.S.C. § 30120, GM must remedy recalls at no charge regardless of mileage or warranty. I am requesting NHTSA investigate both the failure and GM's attempt to charge the owner for federally mandated recall repairs. 1. Sunroof 2. Driving on 81 N slightly past the Middlesex exit at highway speeds. My 4 minor children and I heard what sounded like a large balloon popping inside my car. Upon further inspection, my sunroof spontaneously exploded. Absolutely nothing hit our car. The more research I’m doing, this is a known issue with GM manufactures and they have done nothing to correct this issue. 3. I’m working on getting a repair scheduled, once we figure out if it’s under warranty or we have to pay for it through insurance. 4. No warnings

The glass of the front movable sun roof shattered. The glass shattered while driving on hwy 89 in Wyoming with no traffic or no identifiable reason for the event. While some glass was saved most of it blew out when is shattered. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by the dealer. The dealer blames a flying rock or other object impacting the glass even though no vehicles or source of incident impact was perceived. No one was interested in taking a report. There was a build up of pressure inside the vehicle prior to the blow out of the glass which caused the drivers ear's to pop when the sun roof blew. The remaining glass was visibly pushed upwards away from the vehicle. A picture is available.

While driving down the high way with the check engine light on, a message appeared on the screen and said “unable to shift soon. Service transmission immediately.” After driving a few more miles the vehicle shifted to neutral, and then as soon as I got on the shoulder of the highway and slowed to approximately 5 mph, the vehicles wheels locked up and the car jerked aggressively into park. This exact issue has occurred multiple times while driving. It is unsafe to drive the vehicle.

The dashboard in 2007-2014 gm trucks and subs break apart. These can shatter when in an accident. There is insufficient bracing and supports to keep the dashboards from cracking and coming apart in pieces. Only remedy is to replace the dashboard or get an aftermarket cap that may or may not hold during an accident. Especially when the airbags is deployed.

Sun Roof has leaked. The Sun roof leaked a considerable amount of water and it came through the head liner around the ceiling mounted control panel as well as the back of the car. This is the second time it has happened and I have been told it is not covered under warranty. Through online blogs and forums I have found that this is a common issue with 2021 and newer tahoes and suburbans. And that is a reoccurring problem that is commonly not fixed properly by the dealers This causes a safety and health issue as well as an unacceptable vehicle defect. 1.) From a safety standpoint, if I am driving down the highway and a large amount of water starts pouring out of the headliner on the driver it causes a major distraction that could lead to high speed accident. 2.) From a health issue, regular water leaks could lead to vehicle mold and water damage. I have children, if they become susceptible to the mold it could cause health issues for me or my children. 3.) The water that pours out of the ceiling lands on the dash electronics which could lead to more vehicle issues by damaging electronic controls. It is my opinion that this is a major vehicle defect and something should be done by the manufacturer to correct it. I have made a complaint to the Chevy Customer service under reference #890 780 85

My 2022 Chevrolet Suburban 6.2L, approximately 96,000 miles. Vehicle was taken to dealership for transmission warning message and returned as “repaired” with a software update. The following day, February 12th, while driving at highway speed on the expressway, the vehicle suddenly lost power without warning. A message appeared instructing me to press start, and the vehicle shifted into neutral and stalled. No warning lights were illuminated prior to the stall. This created a serious safety risk due to sudden loss of power at highway speed.
