2016 Ford Edge Hammonton, NJ

TIRES

Four Nokian Ones 245/50R20 102V were purchased online from Priority Tires and shipped to Mr. Tire Hammonton NJ on [XXX]. All four tires are separating along the tread block edge on both sides. The tires are being held at Mr. Tire in Hammonton for inspection. Mr. Tire has maintained this vehicle since original purchase 2007 and with severe vibration occurring they determined the cause was tire separation along the outer edges of all four tires. The separation is cracking into the tread block and continuously around the entire circumference of each tire. A blow out is the safety concern and they recommended complete replacement of each tire. My safety and my drivers safety are at stake. I am a [XXX]. This vehicle is my only vehicle to get to my Cardiologist at DeBorah Heart and Lung as well Cardiologist at Jefferson University Hospital as well as the VA in Philadelphia. My concern is driven by Michelin Tires blowing out and recall a few years back. Mr. Tire documents every visit including oil changes, tire installation, tire rotation, 4-wheel rebalancing, 4-wheel alignment. There is, on file, their recommendations and full-service records. The severe vibration began after @30,000 miles and was unsolved due to the defective nature of the tread on all four tires. Several alignments, 4-wheel rebalancing and tire rotation have not resolved and increasing vibration for the past 18 months. Priority tires only looked at pictures denying all requests for in-person inspection. I have also requested Nokian Tyres send a representative for inspection - all denied by Priority Tires. Priority tires supposedly sent the defective warranty claim to Nokian Tyres with a response of "Road Hazzard" was the cause. No response to my request for their definition of "Road Hazzard" and policy procedures. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2013 Ford Edge Athens, AL

TIRES

I purchased these tires and they were installed on 1/19/25. I paid $426.20 including the installation fees. After installation we noticed the tires were extremely loud above 40 MPH. We returned and had the tires balanced again and the noise problem continued. It drowned out the cabin and made it difficult to hear anything outside of the vehicle. The poor customer service department made me complete a warranty request which was denied within hours because the warranty doesn’t cover noise. They refused to take any responsibility for this hazardous issue that was previously reported. They claim their tires are quiet on various sites, but this is false. There have been many reports to Arroyo and they are not willing to address the unsafe issue. Various reviews on the internet express the same concerns about excessive noise. I replaced the scary tires with another set and they are very quiet and don’t produce the excess noise like the Arroyo tires. 245/50ZR20 102W

TIRES

I was driving when I noticed a light on as I turned the car on as I was driving I saw 4 numbers showing which were the numbers for each tire but the one that was going down at a fast speed was the tire on the driver front tire. I had no blow out ,I had nothing for tire to go flat on me . When I was going to put on the spare that the card had I was not able to do that because I didn't have a jack or anything to change the tire. I had to get a used tire at a tire shop that cost me $60. And noticed that the number is not the same as my 3 other one's

We noticed washing the car today. This date being April 10, 2022. That all the tires mounted on our vehicle has cracking on all the side walls and tread. We are concerned that this may be a very serious safety issue. We just purchased this vehicle about 2 months ago as a used vehicle from a dealership. The miles on this vehicle is 28, 677. Please give us a response as we need to know what to do in this situation. Thank you!

2017 Ford Edge Kailua, HI

TIRES

Both rear tires have what our Ford dealer called "unusual tread wear." The tires are under a 50,000 mile warranty; however, Hankook has refused to honor the prorated replacement tires covered by their warranty. Furthermore, Hankook has been aware for several years this particular model of tires has odd tread issues, yet they continue to put their defective and dangerous product out on the road. The specific tire is the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 245/50%20 102V Multiple attempts have been made to have Hankook uphold their warranty without success. Clearly they will not voluntarily recall this product. The public needs to be made aware of what they are driving on. NOTE: There is no specific date of incident, as this is an on-going issue. Random date has been generated.

2016 Ford Edge Claysville, PA

TIRES

I purchased FOUR (size 245/60R18) Firestone Destination LE2 tires on May 2, 2019 from my Ford Dealer (Washington Ford) to replace original equipment tires that were wearing down. Mileage on the car at the time was 22047. The tires were rotated on November 22, 2019 (mileage on odometer was 27687 or 5600 miles since purchased), the tire were rotated next on November 11, 2020 (mileage on odometer was 34465 or 12,400 miles since tire purchased). Currently the odometer reads 42,365 and all 4 tires have 5/32" tread depth as measured by the Firestone Dealer on 9/23/2021. Essentially the tires have 20,000 miles on them and are wearing out prematurely for a tire with a 500 treadwear rating and a supposed 60,000 mile warranty. The car has noticeably less traction and has hydroplaned twice during rain events while travelling on the Interstate roads during the pas 14 days. The local Firestone dealer told me there was nothing they can do to pro-rate the mileage until the tires are worn down to 4/32 tread depth. The TIRES ARE UNSAFE NOW. During my tire inspection on 9/21/2021 the Firestone manager indicated that I may have to go through my Ford Dealer to replace the tires????!! An internet search reveals a majority of complaints relating to POOR TREAD WEAR for the Destination LE2 tires.
