On 4/9/12 I was involved in a serious accident that resulted in my daughter obtaining a severe traumatic brain. She was in critical condition and is now severely disabled. The back curtain airbags did not protect her and did not appear to work properly. I believe that the vehicle was not properly examined after the accident. The car was a rental vehicle and my family was out of state on vacation. Due to the severe injury of my daughter I believe that the airbags failed.

Since I bought this vehicle from A from a used dealer as is, the passenger restraint indicator on the dashboard comes on and off, the tire pressure warning indicator, even after proper inflation will not turn off and the passenger head restraint popped out forward almost a year ago.

SEAT BELTS

Last month when driving my van started to stall when driving came to a stop at a light and the engine jerked, light turned green started to drive and it wouldn't go over 30 then all of a sudden it speeded up and the started making a weird sound pulled, off into a parking lot wasn't able to get it all the way in a parking spot. Called to have it towed. The transmission blew and it only has 65,000 miles. That cost me alot to get a transmission. Now the seatbelt on drivers side will not lock into place. Which I don't know what to do with that because you have to wear a seatbelt. When I bought this van brand new I had a lot of electrical issues kept taking it to the dealer they could never find anything. Lights would dim when driving, they was suppose to hook a machine up to it and it would register what was going on, this was requested by Chrysler when I couldn't get anywhere with the dealer ship. Chrysler set it up I go to the dealer and they don't have that equipment so they said they couldn't do anything, called Chrysler back told them was suppose to hear from someone never did. I feel this van is a death trap. The side doors act like they don't want to close at times. I have kept up on regular maintenance on the van. I just feel that when you pay $30,000.00 for a vehicle and take care of it things should last longer. I know it's 7 years old but low mileage and taken care of.

Driver side front seatbelt will not latch 8 out of 10 attempts. Once it does latch it will unlatch on its own while driving the vehicle. Driver safety is at risk if the seatbelt does not perform properly during an accident. The vehicle is being scheduled for service at the Chrysler dealer within the week.

2014 Chrysler Town AND Country at 70,000 miles Woolwine, VA 1 injured

SEAT BELTS

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, THE BUCKLED SEAT BELT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE THIRD ROW SEATING LOCKED IN PLACE AS MY AUTISTIC GRANDSON WRAPPED IT AROUND HIS NECK. I LOOKED IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHICH LUCKILY HAPPENED TO BE A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. THE EMPLOYEES IN THE SHOP COULD NOT UNBUCKLE THE BELT AND AS MY GRANDSON WAS ALREADY TURNING BLUE THEY HAD TO CUT THE BELT FREE FROM HIM. HE WAS LEFT WITH BRUISING AROUND THE NECK BUT HAD I NOT SEEN HIM IN TIME I FEEL HE WOULD HAVE BEEN STRANGLED TO DEATH. THESE LONG BELTS FROM THE UPPER PART OF THE VEHICLE ARE A HAZARD FOR CHILDREN.*DT*JB*DT

2007 Chrysler Town AND Country at 138,000 miles Arlington, NE Crash

SEAT BELTS

I WAS REAR ENDED ON JUNE 8, 2019 WITH MY 3 SMALL GRANDCHILDREN WITH ME. THE TWO IN THE 3RD ROW SEAT WERE IN BOOSTER SEATS PROPERLY INSTALLED. THE REAR END COLLISION WAS HARD ENOUGH TO TOTAL MY CAR AND THE CAR THAT HIT ME. THE SEATBELTS DID NOT LOCK IN THE CRASH AND THE 2ND ROW BELTS DO NOT LOCK EITHER. I THINK CHRYSLER SHOULD RECALL THESE SEAT BELTS IN AT LEAST THE 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WE WERE STATIONARY ON A CITY STREET IN OMAHA, NE.
