while vehicle is driving multiple dash alarms will start cycling through including stop/start, service electronic stability control, speed control messaging unavailable, service airbag system, service 4WD, engine light and ABS light, anti skid lights all come on, the speedometer goes to zero, and the power steering goes out. Driving highway speeds and suddenly having no power steering is a safety issue as well as being unsure if airbags etc are even functioning any longer. The problem has happened multiple times. The vehicle was inspected by a Jeep dealership as well as another shop in town and the codes were reproduced. They were unable to fix the issue and despite testing a "star connector" and finding it in good condition and unable to reproduce the issues were advised to replace that part anyway and see if they could reproduce the problem again at my expense. During this time the recall for 2022 Jeep Wranglers with NHTSA campaign number 26V363 came out and i requested to wait for further repair work to be done until the recall was repaired as it also relates to the power steering. I saw a fix had been published and return to the dealership to have the recall repair performed and was told that upon further inspection of the recalled part, mine passed the test, which was apparently a wiggle the wire and inspect the harness for ware only and my vehicle is no longer listed on the recall. I feel these things may still be related and I am extremely frustrated that I have a 4 year old vehicle that I am making payments on and paying insurance on that has been parked (not in my garage as it was a fire risk in the recall) and I don't feel its safe to drive and don't feel that Jeep or the local dealership are being honorable with their product.

2013 Jeep Wrangler, which is currently subject to a manufacturer-issued “Do Not Drive” safety recall involving the driver’s airbag. Upon learning of the recall, I immediately acted responsibly by delivering my vehicle to Romano Chrysler Jeep in Fayetteville, New York, so the required safety repair could be completed. My Jeep has now been at the dealership for more than six weeks because the replacement airbag remains on backorder. During this time, I have repeatedly requested updates and asked whether a loaner or rental vehicle could be provided. Despite the fact that Stellantis has instructed owners not to drive affected vehicles, I have been informed that no transportation assistance will be provided. Compounding the problem, my New York State inspection expired while the Jeep has been sitting at the dealership. I attempted to have the vehicle inspected before bringing it in, but was advised that it could not legally be inspected until the safety recall had been completed. As a result, I have been left without a usable vehicle through no fault of my own. I fully understand that supply chain delays and backordered parts can occur. However, I do not believe it is reasonable or fair for a consumer to bear the financial and personal burden of a manufacturer-issued Do Not Drive recall while the required repair cannot be completed. As a long-time automotive owner, taxpayer, and consumer, I believe manufacturers should stand behind their products when a federally mandated safety recall removes a customer’s ability to safely operate their vehicle. I respectfully request the following: Immediate authorization for a loaner or rental vehicle at Stellantis’ expense until my Jeep is repaired. Expedited shipment of the required replacement airbag, if possible. Written confirmation of Stellantis’ position regarding transportation assistance during this prolonged recall delay.

"On March 4, 2022, Customer Satisfaction Notification S33 (Airbag Clockspring Recall Remedy) was performed on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler by an authorized dealer at 123,314 miles. The vehicle now has 137, 347 miles. The replacement clockspring provided as the official safety remedy has completely failed after only roughly 15,000 miles of driving, illuminating the SRS airbag warning light and completely disabling the supplemental restraint system. The manufacturer's mandated remedy has failed to permanently correct the safety defect, creating a recurring hazard." Tom O'Brian dealership and Stellanis have both refused to repair clockspring which is either defective repair item. "Stellantis corporate directed me to speak with you directly regarding a safety component failure. Tom O’Brien Jeep performed the S33 clockspring campaign on my Wrangler at 123,314 miles. The vehicle only has about 138,000 miles on it now. This critical airbag safety component failed after just 15,000 miles of driving. Corporate told me that if you submit a Digital Goodwill Claim through the dealer portal for an internal part failure on a safety campaign, they can review it for approval. Because this disables my entire airbag system after only 15,000 miles, I am asking you to submit that goodwill request so Stellantis can cover the replacement." ," no federal safety regulator or corporate executive expects a vital component of a vehicle's supplemental restraint/airbag system to fail after just 15,000 miles. I purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (VIN [XXX] ) from Soliman Motors Inc., [XXX] (phone [XXX] ) on April 11, 2026. The vehicle is subject to active NHTSA stop-drive recall #19V-018 for the Takata passenger airbag inflator, issued January 15, 2019. This recall was not disclosed to me at any point before, during, or after the purchase. I was never informed of this active federal stop-drive safety recall by the dealer. I discovered the recall independently after purchase through the Jeep manufacturer app. Upon discovery I immediately contacted an authorized Jeep dealership to schedule the recall repair. I was informed that recall parts are on nationwide backorder with no confirmed availability date. I am currently on a waiting list at an authorized Jeep dealership. This recall has been open and unrepaired for over seven years since its issuance on January 15, 2019. The dealer sold this vehicle to me without disclosing the existence of this active stop-drive safety recall. The recall involves a Takata passenger airbag inflator that can rupture upon deployment, sending metal shrapnel toward vehicle occupants — a known life-threatening defect responsible for deaths and serious injuries worldwide. I have been driving this vehicle without any knowledge of this life-threatening safety defect from the date of purchase until I independently discovered the recall. The dealer’s failure to disclose this recall at the point of sale put my life and the lives of my passengers at serious risk. Additionally, the financing for this transaction was cancelled by the lender, Thrift Investment Corporation, because the dealer sold this vehicle to a buyer without a valid driver’s license — confirming the dealer failed to conduct basic due diligence before completing this sale. I own a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle has a serious safety issue where the steering wheel shakes violently at freeway speeds, especially when driving over uneven roads or bumps. This makes the vehicle feel unsafe to operate. This issue was previously repaired under warranty with a steering damper replacement. However, the same problem has returned, indicating that the issue was not properly resolved. The dealership has recently verified the issue through a road test and confirmed the violent shaking condition. What happened? The vehicle was delivered to an authorized dealership for a federally mandated "Stop-Drive" Safety Recall (V01 - Passenger Airbag Inflator). During this service visit, the dealership attempted to charge an illegal $275.00 diagnostic fee for the airbag warning light, which is directly related to the recall system. The manufacturer’s corporate office confirmed via email that as of April 23, 2026, the recall remains "OPEN" and incomplete in federal records. However, the manufacturer also issued a contradictory statement claiming the repair was "concluded" based on dealer reports. Most critically, while in the dealer's custody for this safety repair, the vehicle was lost or released to an unauthorized party. A manufacturer-arranged "Reunite" transport service arrived on-site to return the vehicle, but the dealership could not produce it, claiming it was no longer on the lot. The dealer has failed to provide any signature, identification, or surveillance footage to prove a legal release of this "Stop-Drive" recall vehicle. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS/Airbag). The system is not available for inspection because the dealership lost the vehicle while the recall was still marked as "OPEN" and incomplete. How was safety put at risk? The vehicle is under a "Stop-Drive" advisory because the airbag inflator may explode, resulting in serious injury or death. By failing to perform the repair, attempting to charge for diagnosis, and losing the vehicle, the dealer and manufacturer have left a high-risk safety defect unaddressed and the vehicle's location unknown. Has the problem been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The manufacturer’s own database and the NHTSA/Mopar websites confirm the recall is "Incomplete/Open". Furthermore, a third-party towing company confirmed the dealership could not locate the VIN on their lot during a scheduled pickup.

THIS IS 2012 Jeep Wrangler its 14 years old and for 14 years the previous owner renewed the registration put insurance on it and it passed the emission tests despite the fact that it was recalled. Now the parts were in back order and they replaced my airbags but when the tow company went to the dealership to pick up my car the dealership wouldn’t release it This is absurd how does a 14 year old car go unnoticed that long. I had to stop driving the car for months because of this recall and the battery died you know a car can’t stay parked too long I took this recall seriously unlike Stellanis who murdered 29 people by refusing to flag these vin numbers to the DMV like the jeep I had and it’s sick how your agency has enabled this behavior truly sick
